Saint George’s Hospital Charity

Saint George’s Hospital is a bustling hospital in south London, it is a cornerstone of the local community, which it has strong links to. The hospital has its own charity with a unit within the hospital offering support but also merchandise, which provides a large portion of their income.

The idea behind the visual identity was to create a brand that felt at home in the community, that people would want to wear, and not just out of goodwill to the hospital. As well as merchandise for supporters, essential items for patients were designed such as pyjamas, sliders or toothbrushes.

The charity name now had a shorthand to be more snappy and relatable but also to reflect the literal ‘saints’ - the doctors, nurses and porters who all work tirelessly to help the community. The ‘saints’ name also worked externally, for the fundraisers who give so much time and effort to the cause.
